L'id\u00e9e \u00e9tait de cr\u00e9er WALKSAFE, un service confidentiel fonctionnant selon le principe de l'espace s\u00e9curitaire, pour aider les McGillois \u00e0 se rendre \u00e0 destination \u00e0 pied, en m\u00e9tro, en taxi (et maintenant en Uber), avec deux \u00e9tudiants b\u00e9n\u00e9voles accompagnant les participants tout au long du trajet. Aujourd'hui, nous sommes une <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-heading\"><b>Quoi est WALKSAFE?<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WALKSAFE <\/span>Fid\u00e8le \u00e0 sa mission initiale et \u00e0 sa d\u00e9claration de mission, l'association propose un accompagnement gratuit et confidentiel aux personnes marchant la nuit. Lorsqu'une demande de marche en toute s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est formul\u00e9e, deux de ses b\u00e9n\u00e9voles accompagnent nos clients jusqu'\u00e0 leur destination par le moyen de transport qui leur convient. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>\u00c9nonc\u00e9 de mission<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WALKSAFE est un service b\u00e9n\u00e9vole d'AEUM qui fournit <strong>gratuit<\/strong> et <strong>confidentiel<\/strong> accompagnement pour ceux qui marchent la nuit.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-align-right wp-block-heading\"><b>Horaires de Service<\/b><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nous sommes ouverts pendant les trimestres d'automne et d'hiver \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 McGill. Nous sommes ouverts tous les soirs, de 21h \u00e0 minuit, du dimanche au jeudi, et de 21h \u00e0 3h du matin les vendredis et samedis.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right p1\">Nous ne sommes pas ouverts pendant les vacances scolaires, ni pendant le trimestre d'\u00e9t\u00e9. Nous sommes ouverts pendant les p\u00e9riodes d'examens, \u00e0 des horaires sp\u00e9cifiques. In 1990, a rise in public safety concerns prompted a response from the Students&#8217; Society of McGill University along with the Union for Gender Empowerment. The idea was WALKSAFE \u2013 a confidential service operating under a safer space principle to aide McGillians to their destination on foot, metro, taxi, (and now Uber), with two student volunteers accompanying you on your journey. Today, we stand as a What is WALKSAFE? WALKSAFE stays true to our original mission, and our mission statement to provide free and confidential accompaniment for those who are walking at night. When we receive a call for a safe-walk, we send two of our volunteers to accompany our clients to their desired destination through the transportation means that work for them.
