Walk Home Service

WalkSafe is dedicated to helping McGill students get home safely, no matter where they are in Montreal. Every night from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., our Walkers are stationed at our office in the SSMU building, ready to accompany students who would prefer not to walk home alone.
If you need a WalkSafe Walker, simply call us at 514-398-2498 and let us know where you are and where you need to go. Our Walkers can meet you anywhere on the Island of Montreal and accompany you safely to your destination. Whether you are leaving campus, heading home from work, coming back from an event, or simply don’t feel comfortable making the journey alone, our service is available to you.
Once you contact us, one of our Walkers will make their way to your location and walk with you to your destination. We believe that everyone should be able to get home feeling safe and comfortable, and there is never any reason to feel embarrassed about asking for a walk. If you would rather not walk alone, WalkSafe is here for you.

Event Services & Tabling

WalkSafe also works with McGill clubs, organizations, and events to make safety a part of the event experience. Our team can be booked to provide WalkSafe services at events across campus and throughout Montreal, giving attendees an accessible way to arrange a safe walk home at the end of the night.
For events such as Frosh, club events, fundraisers, and other large gatherings, WalkSafe can set up a dedicated table or information station where students can easily find us and request a walk. Our Walkers can remain stationed at the event throughout the agreed-upon hours, allowing attendees to stop by, speak with a Walker, and arrange to be accompanied home.
Having WalkSafe present at an event means students don’t have to worry about finding their way home alone after the event ends. Whether someone is leaving with friends or staying later than expected, our team is there to provide an additional layer of safety and reassurance.
